Here are some important glass handling tips to keep you safe from glass damage.

Cleaning recommendation for glass
The following cleaning instructions apply to all glass related products used in construction.
When cleaning glass, always work with as much clean water as possible to avoid a scrubbing effect caused by dirt particles. For example, soft, clean sponges, leather, cloths or rubber scrapers are suitable for hand tools. The cleaning effect can be supported by the use of largely neutral detergent or commercial household glass cleaner. If the staining are grease or sealant residues, it is possible to use solvents such as spirit or isopropanol for cleaning. Of all chemical cleaning remedies, alkali solutions, acids and fluoride-containing agents should generally not be used.
The use of spiky, sharp metallic objects, e.g. Blades or knives, can cause surface damage (scratches). A cleaning agent must not noticeably attack the surface. The use of a glass slab to clean entire glass surfaces is not permitted. If damage to the glass products or glass surfaces caused by cleaning is noticed during the cleaning work, the cleaning work must be interrupted immediately and the information required to prevent further damage must be obtained from SmartGlassRepair®.
